Northcote

Northcote is a luxury small country hotel nestled in the hills of the Ribble Valley in the heart of Lancashire. With a Michelin-starred restaurant, the name Northcote has become synonymous with fine dining, elegance and comfort.

As well as the Michelin-starred restaurant, the hotel boasts twenty-six beautifully appointed rooms and suites. Each room has been individually styled, providing contemporary features and sumptuous comforts guaranteed to make your stay unforgettable.

Over the course of the last few years we have been appointed to carry out the maintenance and servicing of all the fireplaces at the Northcote, as well as all the public houses and inns which sit within the Ribble Valley Inns portfolio.

Recently, Northcote underwent a major refurbishment plan, which included the development of the Garden Lodge Suites, as well as the redesign of the reception and bar areas. We were very privileged to be approached as a partner on the project.

The Garden Lodge Suites include seven luxurious junior suites and the master suite, each one exuding its own individual character. Each suite has its own balcony or terrace, with views across Northcote’s gardens or the beautiful Ribble Valley countryside.

Working closely with the designers and developers, we supplied and installed a contemporary, modern electric fire into each of the suites. Each electric fire was finished in either a unique stone hearth or a section al border, whichever best complemented the design brief supplied by the talented team of interior designers.

We also provided a black glass, built in wood burning cassette fire in the main reception area of the hotel. This was installed with a steel liner and finished with a stone and tile feature chimney breast. On either side of the fireplace we created floor to ceiling log stores, the perfect balance to the whole feature.

This was a really exciting project and we are thrilled with the results. It’s testimony to how well a project can come together when the combined efforts of interior designers, architects and the team at Burning Desires are put to the test.
