This Lake District refurbishment involved multiple fireplace installations across the property, combining gas and wood-burning fires to suit both shared living spaces and more private rooms.
The project
Set on the shores of Lake Windermere, this Yearsley project was a full property refurbishment with fire design at its heart. We installed three Chesney fireplaces alongside a Kalfire corner gas fire, creating strong focal points in the main living areas. The project also included three Chesney wood-burning stoves – two Salisbury 8 models and one Salisbury 5 – selected to suit different room sizes. Beyond the main house, we also installed a free-standing wood-burning stove in the property’s boathouse, creating a warm, usable space overlooking the lake.
