Scan Stoves: Premium Danish comfort with character
Scan has been designing stoves in Odense since 1978, working only with Danish designers. They were the first to bring sliding doors, glass angled at 90 degrees and glass-set handles to the market. That reputation holds whether you are looking at a freestanding stove or an insert built into a wall. Scan is now part of the Norwegian Jøtul Group, which has been making stoves since 1853, so the design sits behind one of the larger service and parts networks in the industry.

Designed to become a part of the furniture rather than disappearing into the wall. Best for a compact space where you can feel the stove, not just see it.
Wood inserts/built-in fires
Sit inside a wall with only the frame and glass visible, so you get the fire without the stove body taking floor space.

Decide how your Scan stove should look with a range of pedestals, legs, and finishes. Often overlooked, rarely regretted.

How does our Scan stoves service work?
We handle the whole job, from checking what your chimney can take through to commissioning the stove and handing over the paperwork.
Free consultation and site survey
We start with a free consultation to look at your chimney or flue route, the hearth and any existing opening, and to confirm what your room and property can actually take.
Model, output and format selection
We recommend the format and heat output to suit the room size and how well insulated it is, then match the base, stand and finish options to how you want the stove to sit.
Installation, flue and commissioning
Our installers fit the appliance and the flue system, complete the commissioning checks and issue the certification the work requires.
Ongoing support and servicing
We register the appliance, talk you through fuel, lighting and air control, and remain on hand for annual servicing and sweeping.
Scan stoves installation & safety assurance
A wood-burning stove is a solid fuel appliance, so the installation carries real requirements, and handling those is our job, not yours. We fit the appliance and the flue system to Building Regulations, which covers a flue correctly sized and lined for your model, a hearth built to the required dimensions, an adequate air supply into the room and a carbon monoxide alarm, then complete the commissioning checks and issue the certification on completion.
If your property sits in a smoke control area, we confirm the model is DEFRA approved for burning wood at your address before you order rather than after. For inserts and built-in fires we check the opening dimensions against the model’s requirements before any construction starts, because that is the one measurement that is expensive to get wrong.
Scan’s warranty depends on the appliance being installed correctly and run on the right fuel, so the installation is not just a legal matter. We register the appliance, hand over the paperwork and talk you through fuel and air control before we leave.

Scan stoves FAQs
Scan wood-burning stoves come with a 5-year warranty against manufacturing faults and defects. Cover depends on the stove being correctly installed, run on permitted fuels, and repaired to Scan’s instructions using original or manufacturer-approved parts. The warranty applies in the country the appliance was originally supplied to, and claims are handled by the supplying dealer.
