A range of fires can be used in a media wall, including electric, gas, and bioethanol fires. Here’s how each of them make great options for media walls:
Electric fires for media walls
Electric fires are the most popular choice for media walls as they require no flue or gas supply, making them the easiest to install. Importantly, although modern electric fires produce highly realistic flame effects, heat coming from the top of the unit is minimal, so there’s no risk to the screen.
Gas fires for media walls
Gas fires are a great choice if you want strong heat and the look of real flames at the heart of your media wall. As with any gas fire, the key is proper planning – heat management, ventilation and more need to be considered before the media wall is built, and installation must always be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
