Percy Doughty is a family-run British supplier of fires, stoves, fireplaces and flue systems, founded in Manchester in 1952 and now based in Bolton. It owns six fireplace brands and sells through selected retailers rather than direct to the public. Because all six brands sit under one supplier, everything can be specified together as a single scheme rather than assembled from three separate sources. The ranges are then fitted by a retailer who works with them every week.

Gallery and Penman Eco stoves carry lifetime cover, their woodburning models ten years, and gas stoves six. Qudos Vienna is covered for life and Haarlem for ten years. Vision Solus runs to six years on parts and labour, Vision Trimline to four.

The fire, the surround and the flue liner all come from Percy Doughty. That means a single specification drawn up in advance, with no components to gather on site.
A format for any property
Conventional and balanced flue options across gas, LPG and electric fireplaces mean your choice is not decided by whether the house has a chimney. Balanced flue models vent through an outside wall instead.

Spares held in stock

Contemporary gas, LPG and electric appliances built for a frameless look, with no visible trim or moving parts on show. Vision Trimline covers front-facing, panoramic, corner, tunnel and room-divider gas formats. Vision Solus covers the electric VS, VS+ and iX series, and the e-line series adds electric stoves and suites.
Qudos Collection
A deliberately small range of freestanding stoves rather than a full catalogue: the Athena woodburning Ecodesign models, Athena gas, the Haarlem and Haarlem 3S woodburning stoves, and Vienna in multi-fuel and gas.

How are Percy Doughty appliances installed?
Every Percy Doughty appliance must be installed to current Building Regulations and British Standards, and gas appliances can legally only be fitted by a Gas Safe registered engineer. That is the practical reason to buy through an authorised retailer rather than sourcing an appliance and a fitter separately.
We arrange qualified installation as part of the process and specify the flue system alongside the appliance, so the two are matched from the outset. Warranty cover also depends on the chimney being inspected and swept every year by a qualified chimney sweep, and on burning only approved fuels. We will talk you through both before you commit.
