Stovax & Gazco fires are designed and built in Exeter by one engineering team. Stovax began making stoves there in 1981, and Gazco followed in 1988 to build the gas and electric versions. More than four decades on, the two still operate as one business, exporting to over 25 countries through more than 1,000 retailers. Whichever fuel you choose, the build quality and the support behind it are the same. As an approved retailer in the North West, we supply, install and service the full Stovax & Gazco range.

The solid fuel range is engineered to exceed Ecodesign air quality standards, and Defra-exempt models can be used in smoke control areas. Exemption applies model by model, so we check it against your postcode before recommending anything.
One maker, every fuel
Wood, multi-fuel, gas and electric all come from the same manufacturer, so you can pick the fuel that suits your room without changing the standard of build or aftercare you get.
Easier to fit into an existing room
Structural work is often unnecessary. Heat shields on certain stoves reduce the gap needed between the stove and any combustible material behind it. Several models sit on a thin decorative hearth rather than a full constructional one built into the floor, and Gazco balanced flue gas models work in homes with no chimney.

Wood-burning & multi-fuel stoves
Including the Solstice 5WS, designed with the output and presence to suit larger rooms without compromising on Chesneys’ hallmark styling.
Stovax wood & multi-fuel stoves
Traditional and contemporary ranges, including Stockton, County, Sheraton, Chesterfield, Futura, Vogue and the cast iron Huntingdon, with outputs to suit anything from a small snug to a large open-plan room. Stockton models have rear heat shields that lower the temperature behind the stove.
Stovax inset & freestanding fires
The Riva2 Ecodesign range comes in four sizes, in both inset and freestanding formats, with a steel exterior, cast iron grate and log guard. Studio inset wood-burning fires are built into the wall and come in four sizes with a choice of frames.
Gazco gas fires
Riva2 gas fires, including models sized to fit a standard 36-inch chimney opening, alongside the Studio range, Logic inset fires and the Reflex 105 and portrait Reflex 75T. Reflex models use several burners to create tall, varied flames, with front and rear flame height adjustable to suit the mood.
Gazco gas stoves
Gas stoves, including the Marlborough2 and Huntingdon ranges, for the look of a log burner without loading or lighting fuel.
Gazco electric fires & stoves
The eReflex, eStudio and Radiance ranges use Gazco’s Chromalight LED technology, with up to 2 kW of heating and a thermostatic remote on every model. eReflex adds control from a phone or tablet, and comes as an inset fire built into the wall or an outset one mounted on it.
Fireplaces, mantels & chimney systems
Wood, stone and cast iron mantels, including period-accurate reproductions, plus Stovax Professional XQ chimney systems for the flue side of the installation.

From the first showroom visit to the final setup, you’ll get all the expert support you need. Here’s what to expect from our Stovax & Gazco installation service:
Free consultation & space assessment
We start with a free consultation to understand your room, any existing fireplaces or stoves, and what you want to achieve.
Model selection & recommendation
Based on our review, we recommend the specific model, format, and finish best suited to your space and budget.
Professional installation & coordination
Our team coordinates the full installation, working around any wider renovation or surrounds.
Ongoing support & aftercare
Once installed, we remain on hand for aftercare, servicing questions, and warranty support.
Stovax & Gazco installation & safety assurance
Solid fuel and gas appliances have to be fitted by a qualified engineer, and your warranty depends on that work being certified and the appliance serviced every year.
Solid fuel appliances must be installed to current Building Regulations by a suitably qualified installer, HETAS-registered in England or the equivalent elsewhere, with the installation certificate and commissioning report both completed and kept safe. Gas appliances must be installed by a Gas Safe-registered engineer.
From there, cover depends on an annual service by a qualified engineer, sweeping the chimney at least twice a year if you burn wood or once a year on smokeless fuels, and burning only fuels on the HETAS-approved list. We arrange the installation, complete the paperwork and set the service schedule up with you at the point of sale. If a fault develops while your appliance is under warranty, contact us and we will handle the claim with the manufacturer on your behalf.

Stovax & Gazco FAQs
