ELGIN & HALL
Elgin & Hall fireplaces: Over five decades of British craft
Elgin & Hall began in Wensleydale, North Yorkshire, where fireplaces were made one at a time by craftsmen and artists working stone and marble by hand. More than fifty years on, the designs are still British-made, now in the North East of England, with the surround and the fire developed together in-house.
Why choose Elgin & Hall fireplaces?
Choose Elgin & Hall for a gas fireplace where the surround and the fire are designed as one piece, made in Britain to an unwavering standard.
Cohesive design philosophy
The surround and fire are developed together by the same in-house design team at Elgin & Hall, so the proportions, finish, and flame all suit from the outset.

Elgin & Hall’s unique micro marble material has the sophisticated character and durability of natural marble, withstanding everyday wear while maintaining its appearance.
Proudly UK-made
Still made in Britain for more than fifty years, in their own North East facilities. British manufacturing that has stood the test of time.
Peace of mind included
Elgin & Hall’s five-year extended warranty on registered inset gas fires means help is just a phone call away.

How does our Elgin & Hall installation work?
We handle your Elgin & Hall fireplace installation end to end, from the first look at your room through to servicing years later.
Free consultation & space assessment
We start with a free consultation to understand your room, your design intent, and the level of customisation you’re after.
Model, size & finish selection
Based on our review, we recommend the right model, confirm bespoke dimensions where needed, and match finishes across your setup.
Professional installation & coordination
Our team coordinates the full installation, working from technical drawings alongside any wider renovation or joinery.
Ongoing support & aftercare
Once installed, we remain on hand for servicing questions, refuelling guidance, and warranty support.
What does the Elgin & Hall warranty depend on?
Elgin & Hall warranty depends on two things: registering the product inside the window after purchase, and keeping the annual service up to date after that. Miss either and the extended cover goes, on a fire that’s otherwise working perfectly.
We register the appliance for you inside the deadline and set the service schedule up with you at the point of sale, so nothing is lost to a date nobody wrote down.
On the installation itself, all gas work in a UK home must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer. We arrange qualified installation as part of the job. For fireplace surrounds, we’ll also confirm the opening, hearth and wall fixings suit the model before it’s ordered.
